Amongst the Chinese coaches which I've learned from and my own experience, sitting straight down and pressing the hips forward, in the squat is the most stable and comfortable position. The example they gave was quite funny.

Sit on your throne before taking a leak or a dump. You rarely slow down and gently put your butt on the seat. You just sit back and "plonk" on it. This is sitting back, and this is even how some coaches teach the squat.

The coaches and I personally, feel that if we cannot even sit on a seat gently in our daily lives, with control, it's going to be quite peculiar to suggest that this is the most suitable way to squat heavy weights.

To illustrate sitting right down, and being stable try this; Put a piece of paper on the floor while having a plastic bottle of fish oil, rested on your traps. Balance it. Pick the paper up gently with your hands. See how your body descends.

This is probably the simplest way to teach someone to squat, without ever seeing them.

Try it out, and tell me how it goes! :D Have a great day ahead.
